Anyone knows which compression software is able to compress already compressed files (like mp3) well?

Can any one well me which software / compression algorithm is able to compress already compressed files well (like mpeg, jpeg, mp3, png, pdf, zip) and what are the average compression ratio that you typically obtained from that software that you use? Thanks in advance....
