Loans for international students?

I'm an international student and I live in the USA with my hostfamily. I used to be their au-pair, and now I study and still babysit for them. I have F-1 Student Visa and go to a SCCC. Unfortunately they charge me a double price per credit so the $12000 that was required to get a Visa is not enough especially that I have to take at least 12 credits per semester. I need a loan. I have no idea what institution gives loans for people like me. I have co-signers but it would be easier to me if I didn't have to use any co-signer. Is that possible?
