Macbeth and Macduff Comparative Essay?
i don't see Macbeth as a strong character at all. he was completely controlled and manipulated by his wife, who led him to worse and worse deeds. i think a big contrast between the two is in how they each defined and acted on 'destiny.' Macduff accepted it as an eventuality, that there was nothing he could really do to change it, and so he stayed on that moral path and acted no differently than if he'd ever heard the Weird Sisters in the first place. To Macbeth it was more of an opportunity, that he (or moreso, Lady Macbeth), still had to create that eventuality through the killing and mayhem and whatnot.
