Why do my RATS like eating FISH FLAKES?

Although the person above's post was pretty ignorant they also have a point. Rats eat ANYTHING...wild rats can chew through concrete given enough time. They'll eat dog food, hamster food, turtle food, fish food...just try telling them its not for them cos it doesnt have a rat on the label! Fish food wont do them any harm I dont think so long as they dont get loads of it, but it might make them smell a bit more. You could vary the treats you give them...as well as veg they can have most fruit (not too much and no citrus), raw or cooked pasta (with no sauce, raw pasta is great for their teeth), pieces of bread, crackers, oatcakes, unsugared breakfast cereal, boiled egg and cooked chicken. Variety is the spice of life when it comes to feeding rats, these treats are all quite healthy for them, so long as you dont go overboard.
